Rev. David W. Baker attended Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne Indiana, graduating in 1982 with a Master's of Divinity. Although a proud native of Colorado, he started his career with a medium sized church in Texas. His second church, a bit larger, on the eastern high plains of Colorado was an exciting and rewarding time. In 2000 Pastor Baker came to Grace Lutheran in Hudson as a vacancy pastor and in 2003 they called him to officially serve as their pastor.
In 2022, Our Saviour Lutheran was in need of a pastor and Pastor Baker, who also worked as a nurse, desired to be a pastor full time. So, the two churches agreed to form a dual parish and Pastor Baker was installed at Our Saviour on July 17, 2022.
Some have called him a "jack of all trades" for he has an electrical degree in telecommunications as well as a nursing degree. He loves to weld and tinker, and is often caught building or making something a little out of the ordinary.
